Shamcey Supsup donates meals to COVID-19 frontliners
Beauty queen Shamcey Supsup used vegetables from her own home garden to make meals for the frontliners working to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines.
Supsup gave bags of chili peppers along with other greens such as malunggay leaves as part of her food drive, as seen on her Instagram page last Sunday, March 22.

She stated that the harvested produce would be used to create meals for employees in hospitals during the pandemic. The meals will be prepared by Byaheng Busog, her food business with her husband, Lloyd Lee.

Article continues after this advertisementUsing the vegetables from her home, Suspsup later delivered some finished meals to health staff at the San Lazaro Hospital in Manila yesterday, March 23.
Article continues after this advertisementShe also handed out food to workers at Del Pan Sports Center, which has been turned into a refuge for the homeless in Manila amid the enhanced community quarantine. Partnering with her in the effort was BrandBuzzPH “BBMommas” Community.
The Department of Health stated that, as of today, 501 people have tested positive for the disease. Among those patients, 19 have already recovered, while 33 have died. RA/JB
