The premiere of Vice Ganda’s new game show “Everybody, Sing!”, which is described as “the first community singing game show,” has been postponed as a safety precaution amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.
The pilot episode, which is supposed to be aired Sunday, March 15, will be slated for a later date, the comedian-television host said on Facebook yesterday, March 13.
“Dahil sa kasalukuyang isyu na kinakaharap ng publiko dulot ng COVID-19, nagdesisyon ang team ng “Everybody Sing!” na i-ere ang pilot episode ng palabas sa ibang petsa,” Vice Ganda said.
(In light of the current public health issue brought about by COVID-19, the team of “Everybody, Sing!” regrets to announce that the show’s pilot episode will be postponed to another date.)
“Bagama’t nais naming makapaghatid ng masayang programa sa aming manonood, prayoridad namin ang kalusugan at kaligtasan ng aming mga contestant, artist, at production team,” he added.
(While we are excited to bring entertainment to our viewers, the safety and well-being of our artists, contestants and production team are our priority.)
He also announced live through “It’s Showtime” that the pilot episode of the community singing game show will not push through until the COVID-19 pandemic eases.
In a statement also released yesterday, media giant ABS-CBN said it will temporarily stop the staging of live entertainment shows as well as the taping for its “teleseryes” starting March 15.
President Rodrigo Duterte announced on March 12 the imposition of a month-long “community quarantine” in Metro Manila, also starting March 15 in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19. /ra
