Strong, feisty women on Sharon’s new talk show
WE were invited to the first taping day of Sharon Cuneta’s talk show on TV5, entitled “Sharon, Kasama Mo, Kapatid,” at the channel’s new studio, where Delta Theater used to be. For starters, the Megastar gave her bashers and hecklers a piece of her mind and promised to ignore them from now on. (And, no, she isn’t closing her Twitter account.)
The talk show’s pilot episode is Oprah-inspired and features strong women from all walks of life. Sharon paid tribute to two widows: Nanay Girlie and Nanay Esperanza, who singlehandedly raised their children against all odds.
Special children
Another guest, Faye Martin, is a single mom who chose to be with her autistic son when her husband left for greener pastures abroad. Faye has since put up a school for special children.
Sharon also interviewed TV hosts, Lolit Solis and Cristy Fermin, who recalled their ups and downs as they struggled to create a bright future for their children. “Sharon, Kasama Mo, Kapatid” airs Mondays to Fridays on TV5.
