‘To All The Boys: PS I Still Love You’ Philippine event canceled due to coronavirus outbreak

The Valentine’s event of the book-to-film adaptation “To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” was canceled in view of the coronavirus situation in the country. The event was scheduled to happen right after Valentine’s Day, Feb. 15, in Makati City.
The movie’s main stars Noah Centineo and Lana Condor sent their love to their Filipino fans as they expressed their disappointment about being unable to meet them.
Netflix Philippines announced that the event was canceled to give priority to the attendees’ health and safety, as seen on its Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 5. The organizer extended its gratitude to the fans for their enthusiasm toward the film and its actors.
“We’re sad to announce that the ‘To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You’ event is no longer happening this February, but your health and safety will always come first,” the message stated.

On a separate post, Centineo and Condor sent their love to fans in the country. The actors also told their supporters to take care as they mentioned that they will meet them soon.
“We are so disappointed we can’t be with you in Manila,” Centineo and Condor said. “We are so grateful and kilig (giddy) over all the love and support you’ve shown us.”

“To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” is the sequel to the romantic comedy movie “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”. The first film is about a high school girl named Lara Jean who has to deal with her past love interests resurfacing due to a mailing mishap.
The sequel follows Lara Jean’s relationship with a boy from her school, Peter, and an old flame returning to the picture. The movies are based on Jenny Han’s young adult romance novel trilogy of the same titles.
“To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You” will be available for streaming starting next Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) just confirmed the third case of the novel coronavirus (nCoV) in the country yesterday. The third patient is a 60-year-old woman from Wuhan, China who arrived in Cebu and went to Bohol, according to health undersecretary Eric Domingo.
The virus has killed nearly 500 people and infected 24,300 others in China alone. It has also spread to 25 countries, including the Philippines. NVG
