Message of love and redemption

/ 07:49 PM April 13, 2012

JESUS Christ sacrificed Himself for our sake—that is how much He loves us. His goodness is incomparable. He died on the cross to pay the price for the redemption of sinners.

St. John summarized God’s message of love and redemption in one amazing phrase: “For God so loved the world that He gave us his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life!”

As Christ hung on the cross, His dying words were an expression of filial trust and a source of peace: “Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit.” From these words, Christians draw strength and comfort on their deathbeds, as Christ Himself found peace in the midst of excruciating suffering. His enduring love brings unending hope for those who believe in Him. Belated Happy Easter!
