MANILA, Philippines — A Filipina has snagged a role in the second season of Korean drama “Dr. Romantic” starring no less than “Weightlifting Fairy” star Lee Sung-kyung.

But more than taking part in the popular series, Cherish Maningat shared a touching encounter with the Korean actress on their first day of filming.

“I have never met a star as down to earth, kind and as caring as her,” Maningat captioned photos of her with Lee in an Instagram post on Jan. 22.

“This was taken during our first day of shooting. While on standby, I had a long talk with Korean actress Lee Sung Kyung 이성경. I was going through something that time,” she added.

Mangingat recalled how Lee gave her encouraging words and even said a prayer for her during that difficult time in her life.

“I will pray for you. And I’m not just saying that. They’re not empty words. I AM REALLY GOING TO PRAY FOR YOU,” Maningat said, quoting the Korean actress.

Maningat expressed thanks to Lee whom she said even shared a life verse she believed in.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see,” Maningat wrote, quoting the verse.

“Thank you so much @heybiblee for all the encouraging words. For praying for and with me. For showing real concern. I am praying for you too. Let your light shine always,” she continued.

Maningat also shared a photo of herself in front of Doldam Hospital where the drama’s story takes place.

Her role in the drama is Lee’s patient who happens to be a victim of domestic violence.
