As one should, Toni Gonzaga is loving herself more and more as time passes by, and the actress shared some of her wise realizations as she turned a year older last Monday, Jan. 20.

While others frown upon the idea of growing older, Gonzaga made her fans realize the importance of the “gifts” that come with the passage of time to mark her 36th birthday.

“Age gave me gifts that youth could never give me,” Gonzaga noted on Instagram last Monday, holding true to the old adage, “With age comes wisdom”.

Gonzaga’s message came with a sweet family photo of her and husband Paul Soriano carrying their child Seve.

“I was so in love with who I was, they were not merely as good as who I am now,” the actress said. She then noted that she likes who she has become as a person.

Gonzaga added that she appreciates the lessons life has taught her.

“Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakaalala (thank you to all those who remembered)… Thank you Jesus for giving me another year,” she said.

Gonzaga’s sister, Alex, meanwhile greeted the actress via Instagram in her usual jesting style.

“Happy birthday Ate!!!! I can’t wait to talk to you about wifey duties because you are a good one!!” she said. “I love you but not as much as [I] love Seve and Mikee jk!”
