The year has just begun, but it looks like there will be no shortage of memes—and “punny” ones at that. Kicking off 2020 is a meme playing around with actor Dingdong Dantes’ last name, which has since inspired puns on other Filipino actors’ names.
The meme changes the actor’s last name to a word that sounds like “Dantes,” and a picture of him and the word. These include “Dingdong Dentist,” “Dingdong DanceSteps” and “Dingdong Dante” (referring to macho dancer Dante Gulapa), which have drawn thousands of shares on Facebook.
“Dingdong Donetest” by one David Carlo Lucenara is the actor’s personal favorite—it shows the hunky actor smoldering and shirtless as he raises a test paper.
And the winner is….. Dingdong DoneTest! 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/MpEZVLl0qP

One could not resist a mash-up of President Rodrigo Duterte and Dantes, a.k.a. “Digong Dantes.” It imposes a picture of the President’s face on a photo of Dantes modeling underwear.
Dantes’ wife, Marian Rivera, has also been included in the meme fun, with the post “Marian Hilera” featuring her face on every person in a line.
Other celebrities have not been spared: Say hi to “Recharge Gutierrez,” “Gary Probinsyano” and “Kuko Martin.”

There is something for “Star Wars” fans too—“Jedi Ann Santos and Kylo Ryan Agoncillo.”
Who are the other celebrities that deserve their own memes? /ra
