Actress-comedienne Kiray Celis is ending the decade with a warm heart, as she gave an emotional tribute to her non-showbiz boyfriend, whose photo she recently made public but whose name she would rather not give.
On her Instagram account last Friday, Dec. 27, Celis described how it really feels to be truly in love, and how everyone deserves to feel the way she does now with her boyfriend now.
“Simula ng makilala ka, nagbago ang pananaw at saya,” she said. “Pwede palang matulog na panatag at hindi mabigat ang puso. Pwede palang gumising na alam mong hindi ka niloloko at alam mong sayo lang yung taong mahal mo.”
(Ever since I met you, my perspective and happiness have changed. Now I know that I can sleep well without a heavy heart. That I can wake up knowing that I am not being fooled by the one I love, and that he is truly mine.)
“Dahil alam mo sa sarili mo kung paano ka magmahal. Na yung nabibigay mo, naibabalik rin sayo ng walang effort at may kusa kasi deserve mo,” she added.
(Because you yourself know how to love someone. That what you give you will also receive without effort and with willingness because you deserve it.)
Celis then went on to describe how it is to love the right person: “Ganito pala magmahal. Ang sarap magmahal ng tamang tao. Proud sayo. Mahal ng pamilya mo. Taong marespeto at gagawin ang lahat mapasaya ka lang ng todo.”
(So this is how it feels to love someone. It feels great to love the right person. Proud of you. Loved by your family. Someone who respects you and who will do everything just to make you extremely happy.)
The former ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ star then explained that in life, we often meet the wrong people just so we can learn. And that by the time we meet the right person, we will have been stronger and braver.
“Kaya wag ka titigil magmahal. Maloloka ka, masasaktan, madadapa pero darating yung taong aakayin ka paakyat, ipaparamdam sayo yung worth mo,” she said. “At unang iiyak pag may narinig na hindi maganda tungkol sayo. At ipaglalaban at ipagtatanggol ka sa kahit na sino.”
(So do not stop loving. You will go crazy, get hurt and fall, but the right person will come to lift you up and make you feel your worth… [the person who] will be the first to cry when he hears something bad about you. Someone who will fight for and defend you against anyone [who wrongs you.])
She then went on to say that everyone, regardless of gender, deserves genuine happiness and love.
“Tomboy, bakla, babae man o lalaki, deserve natin mahalin ng totoo. Deserve natin mahalin ng tayo lang. deserve natin irespeto. Deserve natin sumaya. DESERVE NATIN NG KAGAYA NILA,” she stressed.
(Lesbian, gay, girl or boy, they all deserve to be truly loved. We deserve to be loved for who we are. We deserve to be respected, and we deserve to be happy. We deserve all this like they do.)
Celis also emphasized how time is not a true measure of love through an earlier Instagram post showing her and her boyfriend in Baguio.
“You can be in a relationship for two years and feel nothing,” she noted. “You can be in a relationship for 2 months and feel everything. Time is not a measure of quality, of infatuation or of love.”
Celis rose to fame by starring in ABS-CBN’s children’s comedy show “Goin’ Bulilit” from 2005 to 2009. Earlier this year, she transferred to GMA Network, where she has appeared in several shows including “Maynila: Lend Me Your Love” and “Eat Bulaga.” /ra
