MANILA, Philippines — Just like the official tagline of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, the top stars from both the Kapamilya and Kapuso networks banded as one to show support for the athletes and volunteers who will participate in the upcoming games.
“Let’s make history happen! The Philippines will be hosting @seagames2019… let us all come together and show how Filipinos care and work for our country,” so said Judy Ann Santos in her Instagram post.
Other stars who voiced their support was the Kapuso Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.
“The power of Filipino volunteerism rocks! We have seen and felt it in numerous events in our history. Now it is our time to rock the SEA games arena. Let’s do this!” Dantes said in his post.
Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda said that he was proud of the SEA Games volunteers, adding that he was one with them in showing Filipino pride.
Even Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Maxine Medina also rallied their support.
“Isn’t it amazing that after 14 years, we are hosting the SEA Games again?! I’m excited to be part of this milestone so let’s make history together, volunteers! Let’s make the best SEA Games yet!,” Wurtzbach said.
The formal opening of the games’ 30th edition is set on Saturday, Nov. 30.
