Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa congratulated Patch Magtanong on her “exquisite performance” in the beauty pageant, held in Tokyo, Japan yesterday, Nov. 12.
Binibining Pilipinas International, Bea Patricia “Patch” Magtanong, finished her pageant journey yesterday as part of the top eight candidates.
“I felt like a mom watching the pageant for the first time live, I was so nervous,” Verzosa said on Instagram yesterday. “I don’t think [I’m] ever going to watch another pageant live again.”
Verzosa also praised Magtanong for being a great representative of the country. The actress commended Magtanong for her “moving” speech. Magtanong, along with the other top eight finalists, were asked to answer why they should be the next Miss International. Magtanong focused on empowering her fellow women.
“To cheer all women means to support all women regardless of their race, religion, or background,” Magtanong answered. “But not only this – it also means to remove the barriers that prevent women from realizing their full potential.”
Verzosa said the contest was “only the beginning” for Magtanong. She also congratulated the new Miss International 2019, Sireethorn Leearamwat from Thailand on her Instagram Story yesterday.
