MANILA, Philippines — Bea Patricia “Patch” Magtanong, the country’s contender to the 2019 Miss International pageant, has made it to the top eight.

The 25-year-old beauty advanced to the next level of the contest being held at the Tokyo Dome Hall in Japan on Tuesday.

Other candidates who made it to the top eight include Mexico, Colombia, Uganda, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

Should she win, Magtanong will be the seventh Miss International winner from the Philippines.

The 2019 Bb. Pilipinas International earlier said she could not be more excited to show what she has prepared to push her bid to clinch the top title as the 59th Miss International.

“Right now, I’m stressed because I have a lot of things to do, I don’t have time. Pero (But) I think I’m on time, and you know that when you’re really prepared for it, you’re excited to show them,” Magtanong said on the sidelines of the #TaraSaKawit local tourism launch in October.
