Enchong Dee warned the public to not leave fire hazards, such as candles and cooking appliances, unattended since they could cause large fire accidents.
The actor’s warning came after he suffered a minor accident at a friend’s house over the weekend, as seen in his Twitter post last Saturday, Oct. 26.
“Sa mga tulad kong malalapit sa aksidente (To those who are accident-prone like me): Last night while having dinner at a [friend’s] place, we started smelling burned something, we unplugged everything but apparently it was the oil canister,” he said, adding that his initial reaction was to blow the fire away. “[A]s a result the oil went to my face.”

He accompanied his post with a photo of his chin, showing marks from the oil that hit his face. Dee then reminded his followers to not leave fire-lit items such as scented candles, oils and cooking appliances unattended, pointing out how they could lead to more serious fire-related incidents.
“Please be mindful and careful yeah?!” the actor appealed. “I learned my lesson and I don’t know if this will scar my face.”
