MANILA, Philippines — Top OPM artists Ice Seguerra and Noel Cabangon team up to stage an intimate yet spontaneous concert filled with acoustic music from past to present.
Seguerra and Cabangon’s concert billed as “Kwerdas” (string) will happen on November 23 at The Tent in Solaire, Parañaque city.
Showcasing songs from the ’60s up to popular music today, the artists’ one-night show will make one feel what hanging out with friends after a long day feels like.
“We started with a theme, what the show would be about. Napagdesisyunan namin is parang tambayan talaga. Ano yung kinakanta mo kapag tumatambay ka? Ano yung kinakanta mo kapag nagbubukas ka ng song hits?” Esguerra said in an interview at the sides of the concert’s media conference.
(We started with them, what the show would be about. We decided it would be like hanging out. What do you sing when you hang out? What do you sing when you open a song hits book?)
Despite the wide array of songs, the duo will bring their own flavor by making it acoustic—similar to their own music.
“The idea was also tinuhog na namin yung different popular songs from the ‘60s up to the present. So napakawide, but of course syempre ang interpretation namin ay very acoustic,” Cabangon said.
(The idea was collating different popular songs from the ‘60s up to the present. It’s wide but of course, our interpretation would be very acoustic.)
