With her signature humor, Ethel Booba has been able to get TV shows to take talent fee payments seriously.

Ethel posted a video on Twitter yesterday, Oct. 11, that showed her holding payslips up to prove that she had received her fee for “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

As the winner of “Tawag ng Tanghalan Celebrity Champions” on that day, she took home a cash prize. The comedian wowed judges and the crowd with her rendition of John Farnham’s “Help.”

Ethel revealed in September that TV shows like “Minute to Win It” and “Gandang Gabi Vice” did not pay her talent fees for months or even up to a year.

After airing her complaint, “Minute to Win It” host Luis Manzano assisted her in getting her dues.

During her appearance on “It’s Showtime” yesterday, Ethel confirmed to host Vice Ganda that her fee in a “Gandang Gabi Vice” guesting has been settled.

In “The Boobay and Tekla Show” last Oct. 6, the hosts handed her a check on stage for taking part in its “Pranking in Tandem” segment.  /ra
