After complaining about talent fee delays, Ethel Booba gets paid on the spot for TV guestings
With her signature humor, Ethel Booba has been able to get TV shows to take talent fee payments seriously.
Ethel posted a video on Twitter yesterday, Oct. 11, that showed her holding payslips up to prove that she had received her fee for “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

As the winner of “Tawag ng Tanghalan Celebrity Champions” on that day, she took home a cash prize. The comedian wowed judges and the crowd with her rendition of John Farnham’s “Help.”
Ethel revealed in September that TV shows like “Minute to Win It” and “Gandang Gabi Vice” did not pay her talent fees for months or even up to a year.

In “The Boobay and Tekla Show” last Oct. 6, the hosts handed her a check on stage for taking part in its “Pranking in Tandem” segment. /ra
