Maja Salvador won Best Actress in the first-ever Asia Contents Awards, launched by the Busan International Film Festival and the Asian Film Market, for her role as Lily Cruz/Ivy Aguas in the TV series “Wildflower.”
Salvador accepted her award in Busan, South Korea, on Sunday, Oct. 6, with proud boyfriend Rambo Nuñez in tow.
“Thank You #AsiaContentsAwards and #BIFF2019. Congratulations Team #Wildflower. Wala ako dito sa Busan ngayon kung hindi dahil sa inyong lahat (If it were not for all of you, I would not be here in Busan today),” Salvador said via Instagram on Oct. 7.
“This award is ours. Masaya ako na nakapagbigay tayo ng karangalan para sa Industriya natin sa Pilipinas,” she added. “Salamat sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa akin. Kayo ang inspirasyon ko para ibigay lagi ang best ko.”
(I am happy that we were able to give honor to our industry in the Philippines. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me. You are the inspiration for me to always give my best.)
After the awarding, Salvador and Nuñez took to the stage where they lovingly posed for a photo.
“With my lucky charm,” she quipped.
Nuñez, on the other hand, expressed his pride for his girlfriend by sharing a photo of Salvador holding up her trophy from her seat.
“The Best Actress @iammajasalvador,” said Nunez. “Very proud of you my love! #asiancontentsawards2019 #biff2019.”
Salvador rocked a sleek, dark green jumpsuit and a sparkling cape for the occasion, which were created by fashion designer Patty Ang. She also wore a pair of emerald earrings and kept fresh by having her locks styled in an updo.
Congratulations, Maja! /ra
