Fatherhood will never turn into “Other hood” or “Farther hood” for my best friend, Cesar Montano.
Even if he and Sunshine Cruz already lead separate lives, Buboy (Cesar’s nickname) will never cut ties with their three gorgeous daughters.
He attended the debut of Angelina last Sept. 28 at Blackbird Nielson Tower. “I just dropped off my gift,” he said. “I’m happy Buching (his pet name for Angelina) has joined show biz. I’m here to back her up.”
On Aug. 25, Buboy had bonding time also with his other daughter, Cheska, who turned 15. “We celebrated her birthday by having dinner at Shangri-La,” he shared. “Then, I took her shopping.”
For Buboy, the joys of fatherhood beat the euphoric feeling of winning an award.
Pacquiao’s $32-M movie
Manny Pacquiao is all set to collaborate with Hollywood peeps in his movie, “Freedom Fighters.”
The historical drama, produced by Inspire Studios and coproduced by Pacquiao, is based on a true story. Pacman will portray Col. Macario Peralta Jr. It is directed by Francis Ho and written by Tony Scott.
The film is about the Japanese invasion of the Philippines in World War II. It was the time when a group of American doctors, nurses, professors and mining engineers chose to stay behind enemy lines to help the local people devastated by war, risking certain execution if captured.
It’s an incredible true story of courage, faith and hope in the face of terror. It’s so Pacquiao. The movie is something like “Hacksaw Ridge,” “Unbroken” and “Letters from Iwo Jima.”
The production team is eyeing Cesar Montano, Piolo Pascual, Angelica Panganiban and some Hollywood actors to be part of the grandiose project. It is estimated to cost $32 million.
Guess who
The staff of a reputable establishment patronized by many celebs were appalled by the behavior of a hunky actor.
“He acts like a spoiled brat. He’s always cursing and is uncourteous,” they lamented. “He’s not even a big star yet, but fame has gotten into his head already. The superstars who frequent our establishment are so down-to-earth. Shame on him. If we had our way, we would ban him.”
Fame really has dangerous side effects when not handled properly.
