Xian Lim has never had it so good. It’s not a case of too much too soon because he waited three years before his time finally came. After his huge exposure in “My Binondo Girl,” he was barraged with product endorsement offers—proof of Xian’s charisma.
Recently he was welcomed by Globe Telecom as one of their new endorsers, joining Sarah Geronimo, Gerald Anderson and Vice Ganda. What’s the best and worst thing that fame has done to you?
The best it has given me is recognition everywhere I go, and being able to inspire people and have an army of supporters.
The worst would be getting little sleep due to a busy schedule. But it’s okay; I am enjoying it.
How can you prove that you’re more than just a pretty boy ?
I’ll showcase my abilities in singing and composing, and join all the workshops made available to me so I can continue to improve.
Why do you want to stay within reach of your supporters? Some other stars would keep a distance.
It’s my way of giving something back—so they feel that they have a piece of me through my FB postings and uploaded photos.

How do you feel that you finally made it?
Wala nang kokontra (laughs). I will claim it na talaga na this is my time to shine. ’Di naman ako nainip. With all the good breaks coming my way, it was definitely worth the wait.
What’s the status of your relationship with Kim Chiu?
As show biz as this may sound, we are good friends. Time will tell if we decide to take it to the next level.
Isn’t it an issue with you that Kim’s ex, Gerald Anderson, is also a Globe endorser?
Not at all. In fact I feel privileged. I hope that maybe in a future shoot we can work together.
How do you feel when people say that you became popular because you teamed up with Kim?
People can say what they want to say. I am thankful for the opportunity. But I’d like to believe it was also teamwork that made Kim and me click. Tulungan, hindi gamitan.
How do you handle Kimerald fans?
Surprisingly they have been supportive. I have not encountered any problems with them.
Would you consider yourself as the next Sam Milby, since he’s abroad pursuing the American Dream?
I’d rather not think of myself as a replacement or substitute for Sam or any actor. We all have our designated places and roles.
What makes a woman sexy?
Having a great personality is sexy.

Xian Lim is a loyal guy who is willing to be the perfect man for his perfect girl … still searching for “the one.”

Turn-on would be showing me your true self.
