Jasmine Curtis-Smith encouraged Filipinos to register to vote after becoming a registered voter herself.

The actress posted a picture on Instagram yesterday, Sept. 27, of her inked thumbs and a slip, proving that she had gone through the registration process. She wrote, “It’s been six years since I ‘suddenly’ moved back to Manila, I finally registered to vote.”

“For those who haven’t yet done so, registration is until September 30,” she appealed. “Let’s use our voices, rights and power as citizens for the better of our country.”

According to the Commission on Elections, the number of processed registrations as of Sept. 21 is 2.6 million. Voter registration began on Aug. 1 and ends on Monday. Today is the last Saturday for voter registration.  /ra
