Judy Ann Santos to auction off her ABS-CBN Ball gowns for Bantay Bata
Judy Ann Santos will auction off the two gowns she donned during the ABS-CBN Balls held on Saturday, Sept. 14, and in September 2018, in an effort to help raise funds for Bantay Bata 163.
The actress revealed her decision in a video posted on her official Instagram page, @officialjudayph, yesterday, Sept. 15.

“Just a little announcement po mga Kapamilya at sa mga nag-aabang ng ABS-CBN Ball (Just a little announcement, Kapamilyas and to those who are anticipating the ABS-CBN Ball),” she said in the clip. “I realized that this is a Bantay Bata Foundation project or charity event, and it’s a once a year event na ginagawa ng ABS-CBN, I’ve decided to auction off this gown. It will start at P20,000.”
Santos was referring to the black gown she wore during the ball last Saturday. The dress, created by fashion designer Yong Davalos, features large ruffled sleeves and a high slit cut above the knee.
The actress will also be auctioning off a strapless Oscar dela Renta emerald green gown, which she wore to last year’s ball. The starting price for the said dress is set at P50,000.

The decision to donate all the proceeds from the auction to Bantay Bata is Santos’ and her husband Ryan Agoncillo’s “little gesture of appreciation and support” to the organization and its founder, the late Gina Lopez.
The bidding for the gowns is set to begin today, Sept. 16, as per the actress’ Instagram post yesterday; other details are yet to be revealed as of this writing.
The recently-held ball aimed to raise awareness and donations for the Bantay Edukasyon Program of Bantay Bata. Last year’s event was able to raise P5 million for the Children’s Village in Norzagaray, Bulacan. JB
