MANILA, Philippines — “Hello, Love, Goodbye” is now the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, Star Cinema announced Tuesday.

In an Instagram post by the film production arm of ABS-CBN, the film, which stars Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, earned a worldwide gross of P880,603,490.

The record was previously held “The Hows of Us,” which stars Bernardo and her love team partner and real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla.

Both “The Hows of Us” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye” were directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

Garcia-Molina, admitting who “difficult” a director she was to work with, expressed her gratitude to the team behind “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

“Hindi pwedeng balewalain ang tulong na binibigay sa akin ng staff ko, who is with me through thick and thin, literally,” the blockbuster director said during the film’s thanksgiving party.

“I am proud everytime that part of my success are these people behind me and with me,” Garcia-Molina added.

“Hello, Love, Goodbye” is the first collaboration of Bernardo and Richards, who belong to rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA, respectively.
