For Sam, KC love was not on to-do list

DIRECTOR told them to stop talking on the set.

Their closeness placed actors KC Concepcion and Sam Milby at a disadvantage when they first began filming “Forever and a Day,” according to director Cathy Garcia-Molina.

“They’re such good friends that they can’t seem to look at each other as lovers,” Molina told entertainment writers recently. “The first shooting days were tough—puro chikahan, kulitan. It became so disruptive, I asked KC and Sam not to talk to each other on the set.”

“I was supposed to direct Sam in a movie but with a different leading lady,” said Molina, who made the box-office hits “One More Chance” (2007), “A Very Special Love” (2008) and “You Changed My Life” (2009). “When I saw them together, I was convinced that this was doable.”

Molina, who has worked with Sam in four movies since 2006, said the 27-year-old looker is “a revelation” in this new film. She said he has become one of her favorite actors.

Sam explained, “Every actor has different method. I just feel the character.”

“Forever and a Day,” which also features Matet de Leon, Rayver Cruz, Robin Da Roza, Spanky Manikan, Bembol Roco and Dante Rivero, opened in over 100 theaters nationwide on Wednesday.
