Vic Sotto is set to reunite with Pokwang on the big screen in an upcoming film called “Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity”.
“finally after 8 years makaka work kita ulit bossing Vic,” the actress-comedienne said in her Instagram post yesterday, Aug. 7.
(Finally, after eight years, I will be working with you again, boss Vic.)
Pokwang and Sotto last appeared together in the 2011 comedy film “Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!”.
Maine Mendoza, Jake Cuenca, Wally Bayola, Jelson Bay and Tonton Gutierrez will also star in the movie, as seen in APT Entertainment’s Instagram post yesterday.
Pokwang also noted that she last worked with Cuenca nine years ago. They were co-stars in the 2010 film “Super Inday and the Golden Babe” which was top-billed by Marian Rivera. The 2010 film was a remake of the original 1988 film starring Maricel Soriano and Aiza Seguerra.
Director Mike Tuviera will helm the production of the movie. He also directed the “Super Inday and the Golden Bibe” in 2010, as well as segments of the “Shake, Rattle & Roll” film series.
“Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity” is one of the first four films announced as the official entries in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Pokwang’s latest showbiz endeavor was starring in the 2018 drama film “Oda Sa Wala”. Meanwhile, Sotto last starred in the 2018 action-comedy “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles” with Mendoza. JB
