MANILA, Philippines — Actor and Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla finally ended speculations and confirmed his engagement with beauty queen girlfriend Angelica Alita.

Revilla bared the news Friday by calling Alita his “soon to be asawa” in a birthday message for the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 first runner-up.

“Para sa aking minamahal na irog, maligayang kaarawan sayo! Ikaw ang aking inspirasyon, ang kaisa-isang nagpapatibok ng aking puso,” Revilla wrote.

“Hangad ko ang kasiyahan, maayos na kalusugan at panatag na kalooban mo para sa mas mahaba pa nating pagsasama. Kahit saan, kahit kailan ikaw lamang! Mahal kita soon to be asawa ko!” he gushed.

Speculations about the couple’s engagement surfaced after Alita and Revilla hinted at going “on to the next” in their social media postings.

“There’s nothing not to love about you. Thank you for making our world so wonderful, on to the next,” Alita captioned a photo of herself with Revilla while onboard a yacht posted last April.

“Thanks for loving me for who I am… Looking forward to more adventures in our wonderful journey together,” Revilla captioned a similar photo.
