Parokya ni Edgar retrieves Facebook page from hackers
MANILA, Philippines — Parokya ni Edgar’s Facebook page has finally been recovered from hackers.

Parokya ni Edgar front man Chito Miranda said it took them six weeks to retrieve their page.
“Finally after six weeks, nabawi namin ‘yung Parokya page,” Miranda said Thursday night in a video posted over the page.

“Ang hirap. Nagpanotaryo kami na sa’min talaga ‘yung page, countless emails, update nang update, kulit nang kulit, sometimes magrereply ‘yung Facebook, minsan hindi,” he explained.
Article continues after this advertisementIn May, the members of the band were removed as administrators of the page which became a “porn site” after it shared explicit contents.

Miranda also apologized to their followers who have been exposed to such content and vowed to secure their pages even more.
“Nakalimutan ko pala magsorry sa lahat ng na-hassle nung hacker. Sobrang gago e no, nagpopopost ng kung ano anong kabastusan. Syempre dami naming kids na followers and we’re sorry about that,” Miranda said.
“We will be more responsible when it comes to our accounts and we’ll make sure na mas secured siya,” he added. /muf
