After seven years, will Regine Velasquez be starring in a new movie?

Regine Velasquez may be working with Sarah Geronimo on the film “Unforgettable,” marking her return to the silver screen after seven years.

Filmmaker Jun Robles Lana shared a photo of the songbird with Geronimo on what appears to be the set of the upcoming film on Instagram last Monday, July 8.

The photo shows Velasquez and Geronimo seated across a table, while a man holding papers seems to be briefing them on a scene.

“Look who’s filming with us today!” said Lana. He also included hashtags indicating that the photo was taken during the ninth day of shooting the movie.

The director’s photo stirred up reactions from fans and followers of both Velasquez and Geronimo, leading to speculations that Velasquez is set to reappear on the big screen.

No official announcement has been made about Velasquez’s involvement in the project. She was also not introduced as part of the cast last May when production house Viva Films revealed a photo of the film’s stars and directors.

Velasquez’s last project on the silver screen was a starring role alongside Aga Muhlach in the 2012 film “Of All the Things.” She also starred in the 2015 indie film “Mrs. Recto,” which premiered on Facebook instead of playing out in cinemas.  RA/JB
