Alwyn Uytingco talks about being Jennica Garcia’s ‘midwife’

Alwyn Uytingco revealed that Jennica Garcia gave birth to Alexis Severina, their second child, through water birth — and that he acted as her midwife.

As Alexis Severina turned two, Uytingco reminisced about Garcia’s labor process for the said daughter, in an Instagram post yesterday, June 26.

(After Jennica had her check-up in the hospital, we went home right away to prepare for her delivery. The usual 10-minute trip became 45 minutes due to the heavy rain and traffic.)

(And throughout the trip, Jennica experienced continuous contractions which made me more nervous. She could give birth anytime in the middle of our trip.)

Thirty minutes after the couple reached home, Garcia went into labor. Uytingco recalled that he caught the baby in his own hands.

(Alessi came out right away, and I her father caught her. The midwife arrived late because of the traffic as well.)

From the experience, Uytingco realized that he still has a lot to learn as a father.

(At that moment, I learned that right at first sight, I already knew that I love Alessi, and that would not be diminished but can only grow every day.)

The celebrity couple has another daughter named Athena Mori. JB
