Eddie Garcia’s remains to be cremated, wake to start Friday
MANILA, Philippines — Veteran actor Eddie Garcia’s remains will be cremated on Thursday at 11:00 p.m. at the Heritage Park, his stepson 1-Pacman Rep. Michael “Mikee” Romero said.
Romero said the actor’s remains will be transferred from the Makati Medical Center to The Heritage Park.
“Ngayon po nakaaalis na po ng hospital and papunta na ho ng Heritage Park (His remains just left the hospital and on its way to the Heritage Park),” Romero said in a video posted by CNN Philippines. He said his wish was to be cremated right away from the death bed.
Romero said fans can pay their last respects to the veteran actor starting Friday at 9:00 a.m. and until Sunday, but the venue is yet to be announced.
“Tomorrow, based on the arrangement, actually pinaguusapan pa lang po namin the arrangement would be, 9 o’clock would be the start of the viewing,” Romero said.
“Si Tito Eddie ho doesn’t want long wake. In fact, he wants it matapos na ‘to sa Sunday. So lahat ho ng fans can be there tomorrow starting at 9 a.m. and by Sunday po, matatapos na po,” he added.
