John Arcilla asks drivers to #BrakeForAnimals as viral dog ‘Buboy’ dies
MANILA, Philippines — Multi-awarded actor John Arcilla has called on motorists to hit the brake pedal and stop for animals on the road, following the death of “Buboy.”
Buboy was the dog in a viral video, which showed him faithfully waiting by the door of a faculty room for his master who already passed away.

The actor revealed he even planned to adopt Buboy and give gifts or treats to the faithful dog.
“I was even planning to visit and adopt him – but some students in messenger told me after his master died, hindi daw muna pinalalabas si Buboy, bawal daw muna ang dalaw… they said Buboy has a real owner,” Arcilla said.
“Then I let go, and just planned to pass by in their school some other time to give him some gift or treats instead, and then this… This is so heartbreaking,” he added.
In a separate post, Arcilla said, “I cry for Buboy and for all the UNPROTECTED LIFE from the hands of the UNCARING HUMANS.”
