Actors Sandy Andolong, Ricky Davao and Tetchie Agbayani talk about the sacrifices they made and the silly things they have done for love:
Sandy Andolong
Sandy: My career, in a way—it took a backseat. I was about to be launched full-on then, but I fell in love and had a family. But I have no regrets. I’m still thankful I’m still in the industry, working and doing soaps.
And when you love someone, he or she becomes your priority. You give what little you have to them—even your pride—especially when your children are concerned.
Ricky Davao
Ricky: I gave my life, I gave myself fully, for love. I remember that time, way back in high school, when I haphazardly ran and crossed over Edsa because I was chasing after a girl. I wasn’t looking at my surroundings and almost got hit by a car! But sometimes, when you’re in love, you will do silly, crazy things.
Tetchie Agbayani
Tetchie: When you love someone, you put his or her needs before yours. But of course, it would be great if your partner reciprocates that—if you love and take care of each other. When it comes to love, there’s nothing you won’t do … Well, except killing someone and other sinful deeds!
I also set my career aside. I stopped acting for 11 years because I had to tend to my family. The good thing is that I settled down in my 30s—so I had already made the most out of my life as a single woman. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
