‘Kadenang Ginto’s’ Andrea and Francine on friendship, anxiety, random thoughts

MANILA, Philippines – Contrary to their role as enemies in the noontime drama series “Kadenang Ginto,” teen actresses Andrea Brillantes and Francine Diaz opened up about being close friends outside their characters.

Brillantes, 16, and Diaz, 15, bared Friday their conversations ranging from random things to opening up on their feelings including feeling anxious.

“Napakarandom po ng mga topics namin, minsan tungkol sa end of the world, kung paano nabuo ‘yung mundo. Tapos minsan, napupunta kami sa anxiety tapos mapupunta kami sa pressure,” Brillantes shared in a press briefing.

“Kasi syempre, bata pa lang kami tapos naeexpose na kami sa madaming tao. So minsan, magkaka-anxiety kami na, ‘Okay ba ‘tong ginagawa namin?’” Brillantes said.

“Yun yung lagi naming pinaguusapan e. ‘Yung, paano ‘pag ‘di namin nabigay ‘yung lahat namin sa eksena na ‘to? Kung ‘di nagustuhan ni direk,’ ‘yun ‘yung lagi naming pinaguusapan,” she added.

Diaz, on the other hand, said: “Kailangan po kasi, kung hindi ka okay sa ibang tao, doon mo mapapaisip na dapat pala ‘yung gagawin ko, okay sa kanila kasi kapag hindi, parang mababash ka po nila or something. Dun po kami nagkakaroon ng anxiety.”
