MANILA, Philippines -Erik Santos and Yeng Constantino are teaming up for the first time in a concert on May 22 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
“ExtraordinarY,” their collaboration concert, promises to showcase a breakthrough fusion of pop and rock as Santos and Constantino showcase their hits with twists and surprises.

“Magkaiba kami ng genre. Di mo expect-in na kami yung mag cocollaborate pero ‘yun nga ‘yung nakakatuwa doon e,” Constantino said Friday.
Constantino added that she has chemistry with Santos when it comes to singing.

“Every time na mabibigyan kami ng pagkakataon ni Erik duet sa ASAP or even sa mga guestings, even nung nagduet kami sa concert niya, there’s just something about sa chemistry I think e. Chemistry namin bilang singers,” she said.
“Even yung blend actually ng mga boses namin. Pero sa concert, ipapakita namin yung musicality namin both and even kung ano ‘yung nagcoconnect samin bilang mga artists,” she added.
Apart from their complimenting each other in terms of music, Santos said that what makes their concert truly extraordinary is their friendship.
“May theme kami ‘Extraordinary’ and I think aside from doon sa music namin, our friendship, that’s what makes the concert ‘extraordinary,’” Santos said.
Santos pointed out the importance of connection when it comes to teaming up with another artist on stage.
“Importante sa akin kapag nakikipag-collab ako sa isang artist, especially in a concert, close ko ‘yung tao para marami kaming paguusapan, hindi lang sa music, pati doon sa mga spiels namin,” Santos said.
“It will come naturally kasi alam namin kung gaano namin kakilala ‘yung isa’t isa and maipapasa namin ‘yun sa mga manonood,” he added.
Directed by John Prats, the concert also serves as a celebration for Santos’ 16th year and Constantino’s 12th year in the music industry.
