Sorry but no romance with Ken Chan, says Rita Daniela

Because of their palpable onscreen chemistry in the drama series “My Special Tatay,” Rita Daniela and Ken Chan had not a few of their fans wishing that romance does blossom between the two actors offscreen.
But “that feeling,” Rita admitted, isn’t there at the moment.
“The fans want it. But do we? I appreciate those hoping that it happens. But I don’t want to lie and give them false hopes,” Rita told reporters in a recent pocket interview. “Everyone deserves the truth—I believe in that. If it happens, it happens.”
What she can say for sure, however, is that she and Ken are the best of friends.
“It’s nice to have good company. Ken and I used to see each other every day, so our relationship grew … We can talk about everything,” added the 23-year-old singer-actress who revealed that GMA 7 has a new project in the offing for their love team.
For now, career comes first for the two Kapuso stars.
“We worked hard and waited a long time to be where we are now,” Rita pointed out. “We’re just really happy working with each other. And we don’t want to put this to waste.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
