Actress-comedian K Brosas recently took to social media where she proudly shared a portrait sketch a fan gave her.
The fan, Barbie Prades, apparently waited for Brosas until she finished her show in Camarines Sur just so she could personally hand the artwork to her idol.
“19 yrs old [siya] at sabi nya rush lang nya ginawa to (she is 19 years old and she told me she just made this in a rush),” Brosas said via Instagram on May 6. “Wow… salamat Barbie Prades.. napaka-talented mo! (Wow… Thank you Barbie Prades, you are very talented).”
Brosas was happy to see Prades with her mother, who was nothing short of proud of her daughter’s work. She also expressed her hope for younger people to have a hobby that keeps them occupied and polishes their talent.
“Lahat naman tayo blessed with creativity, kelangan lang malaman nyo yon at wag sayangin,” she added. “At bilang magulang, dapat encourage natin mga anak natin na maging creative o magkaroon ng hobby sa panahon na puro gadgets na lang…”
(We are all blessed with creativity, you just need to realize that and not waste it. And as parents, we have to encourage our children to be creative or have a hobby, especially when everything today revolves around gadgets.)
In the end, Brosas encouraged her young fan to continue with her art.
“Nakaka-proud at nakaka-happy,” she said. “Salamat uli. I’m sure gagaling ka pa.” (This makes me very proud and happy. Thank you again. I’m sure you will get even better.) JB
