Bela Padilla flew to Thailand to check on her dad who was brought to the hospital, moments after celebrating her 28th birthday. The “Camp Sawi” actress then took to Twitter last Saturday, May 4, to ask her fans for prayers.
“My dad [is not] doing too well [at the moment], and is in a hospital in Thailand. [I’m] flying over to check on him and would love if you can all help me pray for him,” Padilla said.

Padilla’s Kapamilya friends, Moira Dela Torre and Amy Perez responded to her update, with Perez saying, “Sending prayers for you and your [dad]. Ingat ka (take care) and [happy] birthday.”
Queenie Padilla, the “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” star’s cousin, also sent prayers, saying, “Hope he gets well soon.”
Meanwhile, Padilla took to Instagram Stories to notify her friends of her trip, saying, “Off to check on the daddy-o. If you need me, WhatsApp or [Viber] please.”
Before flying to Thailand on her birthday, Padilla had an advanced birthday interview in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” with Jodi Sta. Maria last May 2, in which she revealed she felt like she was “running out of time,” as she was turning 28.
Padilla’s British dad, Cornelius Gary Sullivan, is based in Thailand. JB
