MANILA, Philippines—To show his utmost admiration for reelectionist Senator Grace Poe, Coco Martin swore to stake his name for the success of the independent candidate and the current survey leader.

“Itataya ko po ang pangalan ko para po sa kanya sa sobrang pagmamahal ko dito sa taong ito,” the “Ang Probinsyano” star declared in a campaign sortie held in Biñan, Laguna on Tuesday.

Martin plays Cardo Dalisay in the long-running series, which is an adaptation of the 1997 movie starring Poe’s late action star father Fernando Poe Jr. or FPJ for short.

Poe likewise said kind words about the action star, who she said why he was chosen to play the star of the long-running teleserye.

Poe, along with fellow reelectionist candidate Cynthia Villar, found herself topping the latest Pulse Asia senatorial survey.
