Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye thank Filipino fans in FB post

MANILA, Philippines – Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Hawkeye assembled to thank their Filipino fans for their overwhelming love and support for “Avengers: Endgame.”

In a short video posted in Marvel’s official Facebook page, actors Robert Downey Jr., Brie Larson and Jeremy Renner thanked Marvel Filipino fans whom they said were their “biggest fans in Southeast Asia.”

“To our fans in the Philippines who have been deemed the biggest fans in Southeast Asia, from the bottom of my arc reactor heart, thank you for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown to the MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe] over the past 10 years,” Downey, who played Iron Man in the movie, said.

Renner, who portrayed Hawkeye, echoed the words of Downey as he said: “You are the biggest fans. You guys rock.”

Larson who played Captain Marvel, meanwhile added that the Avengers and their Filipino fans will see the end of the Infinity Saga together.

“Sending my photon blast-filled love to you and all as we journey into endgame,” Larson said.

Directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo then chimed in and said, “Fans of the MCU in the Philippines, we wanna thank you!”

As MCU’s Infinity Saga winds down with “Avengers: Endgame,” Downey assures Filipino fans: “We got you, whatever it takes.”

The Facebook post came in wake of news that several cinemas will be open for 24 hours for “Avengers: Endgame” screenings.

“Avengers: Endgame” opened in cinemas in the Philippines on April 24.  /muf
