Claudine proud of closer bond with sis Gretchen after reconciliation
MANILA, Philippines — Claudine Barretto was proud to let everyone know that she and sister Gretchen have a closer bond since their reconciliation.
“Mas close kami ngayon, sobra,” the Optimum star said in a “Tonight with Boy Abunda” interview aired Wednesday night.
“’Yung feeling ko when I’m with my sister now, parang I’m in love, alam mo ‘yung ganon?” Claudine added. “I wake up, I’m happy. ‘Cause she’s always positive, she’s happy lang, ganyan. And ang kulit namin kasi walang nakikisali sa amin, so we can just be ourselves.”
Since ending their feud, Claudine said she and her sister would talk about everything. She also said Gretchen’s partner, Tonyboy Cojuangco, would even notice she is always laughing.

She shared one instance when she had a small misunderstanding with Gretchen during the latter’s birthday. Claudine said someone she did not like greeted her sister, which made her jealous.
When asked about Gretchen’s relationship with her kids, Claudine beamed: “Oh my god, she’s so in love with my kids!” and added that her sister and her partner are helping her raise them.
“It’s nice to say na may tatay na mga anak ko, ‘di ba? And may Mama Nen (Gretchen) sila,” Claudine said.
Claudine and Gretchen are known to have icy relations since 2013. The siblings, however, reconciled in February and the two have been inseparable since, spotted together on several occasions. /kga
