MANILA, Philippines — The 6.1-magnitude quake that jolted parts of Luzon Monday affected many things, including an interview with Kris Aquino.

“Yes, may lindol. Nawalan ng kuryente, umuwi na tayo (Yes, there’s an earthquake. No electricity, let’s go home). I want to go home. My sons. Because nasa fault line kami (we live near the fault line),” Aquino said.

Aquino then asked her staff to check on her sons: “Hoy magcheck kayo tawag sa bahay (Please check the house)…My god my house. Check si Bimb and si Kuya.”

“It’s the end of the world na, I’m telling you. Buti nalang binili ko na lahat ng Chanel na gusto ko (It’s a good thing I was able to buy all the Chanel that I want),” she said.

Aquino further joked: “Bwisit, ang laki pa ng tax na binayaran ko, dapat pala in-evade ko na lang (I paid a huge tax. I should have just evaded paying the tax).”
