Andi Eigenmann opened up on her pregnancy struggles, noting that photo shoots where she gets “dolled up” are far from her reality.
Eigenmann has recently appeared on magazine covers looking radiant and made-up. She also shared today a shoot with daughter Ellie and boyfriend Philmar Alipayo where she glowed with natural make-up.
The “Camp Sawi” actress, now 26 weeks pregnant, shared a picture of herself bare-faced in her underwear on Instagram Tuesday, April 23, and reflected on how pregnancy feels “realer than ever.”
“Been having a lot of fun getting dolled up for pregnancy shoots with the fam, but I also don’t want you to forget that this side of me is what I’ll always be about,” she said.
She shared that her body has felt sore and “grosser” as she moved into the third trimester of the pregnancy. Eigenmann is pregnant with her first child with surfer boyfriend Philmar Alipayo.
She also expressed her disappointment at “relapsing” in terms of her fitness and nutrition.
“i let myself down. I promised to continue on with my holistic approach to fitness and nutrition as soon as morning sickness left my body,” she said. “I am letting my baby down.”
She said she had not been able to put in the hard work to “stay healthy” and noted that her body had changed with “cellulite, sagging butt, flabby arms and the chubby bunny-esque face”.
“So mama, if you are going through the same thing, know that this is very normal, and/but it is up to us start making things better for us! it’s never too late! WE CAN DO THIS.”
In her Instagram Stories today, Eigenmann further explained, “I kept going for the lame excuse of wanting to take all the rest I could for the baby, but in reality, the lack of physical exercise and excessive eating isn’t only harmful to our bodies but to our babies as well.”
“It’s not about going for a fitness goal and depriving ourselves of food, but about focusing on giving yourself and the baby the right nutrition and getting the body back on our feet so as to prepare ourselves for delivery,” she said. JB
