MANILA, Philippines — Dingdong Dantes will play “Big Boss” or Captain Yoo Si-jin in the remake of South Korean drama “Descendants of the Sun.”
GMA Network announced the news as Dantes renewed his contract on Monday, April 22.
The role was originally played by Song Joong-ki and he was paired with actress Song Hye-kyo.
Other casts of the upcoming remake have yet to be revealed.
“Descendants of the Sun” first aired in 2016.
