Marjorie Barretto gathered family and friends to celebrate daughter Dani’s despedida de soltera.
The actress decided to give her daughter the celebration as the latter is days away from getting married, this Marjorie said in an Instagram post on Sunday, April 14.
“I have to admit, the wedding preparations have distracted me from really allowing myself to feel all the emotions that a Mom goes thru when her daughter is getting married,” Marjorie said. [O]ne of my greatest strengths is to mask my feelings so I can stay focused on my responsibilities, and get the job done first.”
She added that the party was a way of saying goodbye to Dani and turning her over to her daughter’s soon-to-be husband, Xavi Panlilio.
In a series of photos, it showed that those who attended Dani’s party included her grandparents Miguel and Estrella, some uncles and aunts and her siblings Claudia and Leon. Some of her closest friends did not miss the bride-to-be’s party.
Dani also shared some photos from the party that showed fellow celebrities Erich Gonzales and Michelle Gumabao in attendance, as well as her fianceé’s family.
“My heart is full,” Dani expressed, adding about her future in-laws: “Not only do I get to marry the love of my life, but I am also blessed to have the best future in-laws in the world.”
Dani, who posted a photo similar to her mom’s, also thanked her for throwing her “the most beautiful and memorable” party.
“I feel like even if I say thank you a million times, its still not enough for the many things you’ve done and sacrificed for me,” she said about Marjorie. “I am not the easiest child to raise but because of your love and guidance,
I actually turned out fine.”
Dani and Xavi got engaged last February. Dani, who is a travel blogger and influencer, said in a blog post that the two of them met in La Union in 2017. /ra
