Why Arci Muñoz never considered JM de Guzman boyfriend material

“I thought he was gay,” said actress Arci Muñoz of her “Last Fool Show” costar JM de Guzman, whom she has known since they were in college taking up theater arts at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.

“Kasi walang pumapasok sa teatro na ’di bading,” she reasoned out. “I told myself, ‘mag-a-out rin ’yan!’ It turned out that there were only two of them from our batch who are straight men. This was also why I never considered him ‘boyfriend material’ back then.”

Arci added: “Besides, I was too focused on school work … [and] my parents were very strict about matters of the heart.” —MARINEL R. CRUZ
