“In our efforts to boost appreciation of the public and especially of our young people, of the different cultural expressions, and of course one of them is dance, we try to look in to the engagement of the mainstream artists like Maja [Salvador] here with us, to help us promote the value of dance,” NCCA Deputy executive director Marichu Tellano said in a press conference on Thursday.

“Being one of the judges of the ‘World of Dance,’ I think fittingly she can really help us promote the value of dance and the development of who we are as people,” Tellano added.

Meanwhile, Salvador expressed her gratitude for being named as NCCA’s dance ambassador and added that she is honored to join the ranks of Boy Abunda and Piolo Pascual as NCCA ambassadors.

Abunda was previously recognized as NCCA’s arts ambassador, while Pascual was recognized as its culture ambassador.
