IMANILA, Philippines — Miss World 2013 Megan Young and actor Mikael
Daez took on the “eagle dance” challenge while vacationing in Japan.
The couple busted out the dance move popularized by internet sensation Dante Gulapa with Japan’s cherry blossoms in the background.
“Infusing some pinoy vibes into the beautiful cherry blossom season of Japan!” Daez wrote on Tuesday in an Instagram post.
“@meganbata and I, for reasons completely unknown to us, spontaneously busted out the eagle dance as soon as we hopped on those mini pillar,” Daez added.
While admitting that he has not watched the original video, Daez poked fun at how their attempt to do the dance turned out.
“I’ve never even seen the video of the original eagle dance,” Daez said. “Ang problema…. megan looks like eminem trying to do the eagle dance with her hip-hop/salbakutah swag while i look like i swallowed a broom stick.”
Meanwhile, Gulapa shot to internet stardom for his dancing, particularly for his gyrating moves and eagle dance step. /muf
