Gretchen Ho’s take on getting stood up by Floyd Mayweather Jr.

MANILA, Philippines — Television host Gretchen Ho took to social media to share the experience of getting “stood up” by retired boxing icon  Floyd Mayweather Jr. after waiting for over eight hours.

Ho, who was supposed to host Mayweather’s press conference in Pasay, shared on Wednesday the experience in a series of tweets.

Ho expressed excitement to host the event, tweeting, “Ready to host the presscon for #MayweatheratRWManila!!! Floyd Mayweather Jr will be here in 20 minutes!! @Andrei_Felix.”

She also posted photos of the guests who were waiting for Mayweather at the press conference venue captioned: “Waiting for Money Mayweather! #MayweatheratRWManila.”

Ho’s next tweet made a big turn. She posted a photo of herself and said, “Waiting for Mayweather be like…6 hours & counting. Nagpa Belo, bumili ng LV, at rubbershoes muna raw!!! #LikeABoss.”

But Ho still managed to paint the situation in a positive light as she happily posed with other guests: “Magkakaramay sa pagantay!

We still alive!! Heard Money made a detour again… I wonder what time he’ll arrive. I hope it won’t come in conflict with @ukgdos.”

Unfortunately, Ho said made a detour again, this time to eat Inasal: “So Floyd Mayweather decided to eat Inasal.. in MOA #anonafriend #thewait.”

And after more than eight hours, Ho said it was announced that Mayweather will not be attending the press conference anymore.

Ho wrote, “After more than 8 hours of waiting, RWM announces that Mayweather is no longer coming to the presscon. :(“

Ho once again took to social media the experience on Wednesday, saying: “A tragedy is always a good story to tell.” ~ Me on Mayweather’s no-show at the presscon after 8+ hours of waiting.”

“Now, I can tell my grandkids, I was once stood up by Floyd,” she added.
