To mark her 50th birthday later this year, Jennifer Lopez will embark on a tour, titled “My Party.” And Alex Rodriguez is looking forward to tagging along with his soon-to-be wife.
“I no longer have to play 162 games anymore, so I have a lot of time on my hands,” quipped Alex, a retired baseball star.
And that’s one of the keys to their relationship—unwavering support.
“We’re constantly supporting each other in our individual endeavors and thinking about all the things that we can build together,” Jennifer added. “Everything we do, we do together. He knows my dreams and I know his dreams and, together, we feel like we’re stronger.”
After two years of dating, Alex finally popped the question to Jennifer in their recent vacation in the Bahamas. And the couple couldn’t be more thrilled.
“We’re really happy,” the pop star said in an interview with People magazine.
“We have an appreciation for where we are in our lives today. That’s what we’re enjoying the most,” related Alex, who gave Jennifer an emerald-cut diamond ring, which, according to Harper’s Bazaar, could weigh either 15 or 20 carats and cost between $1 to 5 million.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
