MANILA, Philippines — After teasing a comeback on Thursday, March 21, Agsunta finally released their new single “Bagong Umaga” in Spotify midnight on Friday, March 28.
It has been two months since Agsunta wiped clean its YouTube account of all its videos after an issue rose involving them and fellow OPM band December Avenue.
Agsunta’s new single is definitely perfect for a comeback as it message focuses on rebuilding yourself after getting hurt with a hope of finally being happy.
The song starts with the line:
“Darating din ang umaga na ako ay masaya
Darating din ang panahon, kalungkutan ay maibabaon.”
Last January, the band’s vocalist Jai Singson shared that they have been receiving “harsh comments” on social media. The song gives a glimpse of what the band has gone through as it tells overcoming pain caused by ‘the world’.
“Unti-unting bubuuin ang pag-ibig na nawalay sakin
Iingatan na ang puso ko sa sakit na dala ng mundo.”
It has been a long two months for Agsunta fans and now they are finally happy like how the song ends.
