Anne Curtis flies to Australia to surprise recovering mom

MANILA, Philippines — Actress-host Anne Curtis flew all the way to Melbourne, Australia to surprise her mom Carmen who just got out of the hospital after a successful operation.

Curtis posted on Tuesday an Instagram video of herself surprising her mom with roses and a balloon that had a message saying “Get Well Soon.” The location tag of her post was at Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

Upon Curtis opening the door, she shouted “Surpise!” and embraced her mom Carmen. Meanwhile, her mom who was startled said, “Akala ko delivery.”

“Surprise a success!” Curtis wrote in the caption.

The 34-year-old actress said she could not resist her mom that is why she immediately booked a flight to Australia.

“Mama just recently got out of the hospital after a successful operation whilst I was in Canada. And as you may know, I have a crazy schedule but sometimes simpleng lambing na parinig is it all it takes to book a flight agad agad,” said.

Curtis said her sister Jasmine also flew to Melbourne to help their brother Tom in taking care of their mom as she recovers at home.

“Thank you to my Showtime and ABS-CBN Family for understanding. I’ll be back Saturday. Back to being a dutiful daughter muna ako,” she said.
